PRIVACY POLICY

Cabanes Town Council is committed to the protection of privacy and the correct use of personal data. Therefore, the purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you about the processing of personal data that Cabanes Town Council carries out on this website, the e-Office and in any of its subdomains, microsites and/or mobile applications.

Who is the controller of your personal data?

Cabanes Town Council is the data controller, advised and supervised by our data protection officer to properly protect your personal data.

Why do we process your personal contact data?

The data provided to us, as well as other data generated in the course of the relationship with the citizen/data subject, may be processed for different purposes depending on the municipal services provided. In any case, the purpose is to maintain contact and communication with them and to manage the provision of the services requested or provided by the Council. When applicable, more explicit and specific purposes may be stated in the information clauses included in each of the data collection channels for specific cases (web forms, paper forms, voice recordings or posters and informative reports).

What is the legal basis for the processing of your personal data? In other words, what is the basis or authorisation for us to process your personal data?

There may be many different legal bases authorising us to process your data: in some cases, it may be the consent of the data subjects; in other cases, the fulfilment of a legal obligation by us; in other cases, the fulfilment by the Council of a mission carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of public powers; in other cases, the protection of vital interests; and in other cases, the performance of an agreement.

Providing the requested data is compulsory, as these are essential in order to deal with your request or to provide our services. If you do not provide them, we will not be able to carry out or provide them.

When the processing is based on your consent, you will be deemed to give your consent unambiguously and such provision will be deemed to be a clear affirmative act on your part expressing such consent.

For how long do we retain your personal data?

In general, we will retain the personal data provided to us in order to maintain a record of service and manage our services efficiently, provided the citizen does not request the erasure of their data. Even after requesting erasure, they will be kept inaccessible for the necessary period of time, although their processing will be limited to one of the following cases: complying with legal or contractual obligations of any kind to which we are subject, or during the legal periods envisaged for the expiry of any liability on our part, or the exercise or defence of claims arising from the relationship maintained with the citizen/data subject.

Who may be assignees or recipients of your personal data?

The data you provide us with may be communicated to third parties to fulfil purposes directly related to the legitimate functions of the assignor and assignee, such organisations or bodies to which there is a legal obligation to communicate data, or public or private bodies or organisations with which we reach agreements to carry out social, cultural or sporting projects or collaboration agreements, etc.

What are your data protection rights and how can you exercise them?

To exercise your data protection rights, you can make a request at any of the Council’s points of contact, online via the Council’s e-Office and at the following e-mail address info@cabanes.es. You can call us to exercise your rights or request further information.

In any case, you may also submit complaints to the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
